NEW LOGO FOR THE BRIDGE

The Bridge is an international church and ministry center coming to the western and southwestern suburbs of Paris.

Here it is! This is the image that will come to be associated with our work in Paris. Developed by a German believer in Brussels by the name of Mattèo Piano. The picture shows some of what we hope The Bridge will be-an active community of life, creating the energy and influence necessary to pull people into the hope of Jesus Christ.

Other development is also underway with The Bridge, but this is a big one. It might seem a little strange that I’m so excited about a new logo, but this is the first picture many will get of the ministries we’re founding-on posters, on the web, on flyers, on signs, etc.

DECEMBER 2009 TRAVEL SCHEDULE

November offered the chance to see many people from Pennsylvania to Kansas City. We’re focusing on end of the year activities, including setting up a Christmas tree and making plans for the holidays! We can’t wait.

One highlight at the end of December will be our involvement in The World Missions Summi t in Cincinnati, Ohio where we’ll gather with over 6000 young adults from all over the US who will be asked to consider giving a year to missions service and praying about a lifetime. We’re also looking forward to visits to Utah, Wisconsin, Michigan and throughout Indiana. We’ll see many of you soon!

: At the St. Louis Arch in October 2008.

This last month we had many wonderful connections with churches throughout the middle of America. One of the highlights of our entire time home was being able to address the chapel at our alma mater, Evangel University In Springfield, Missouri.

November will take us to many places and mark the first birthday of our youngest Noah on November 12. From Pennsylvania to Utah and many spots in between, we look forward to seeing many old friends and making many new ones.

We are now about 85% along the way to meeting our monthly budget and have a long way to go on the project funds we are looking to raise. We appreciate your continuing prayers as we move closer toward our planned date of departure–June 15, 2009.

Indiana Family Makes “French Connection”

We are thrilled to announce the addition of two more adult members of The Bridge Team. Married for two years, Davy and Tara Rudolph live in Bargersville, Indiana with their son Clive Sufjan. Both share a deep love for music and sense a call the adventure that starting The Bridge will be. Tara is an office coordinator for a local chemical company and a full-time mother, while Davy is a graphic designer for Lakeview Church on the west side of Indianapolis.

Noah is a great traveller...

September was a whirlwind; October promises to be even quicker. We can hardly believe that we will be returning to Europe in just about eight months!

Among the highlights of September was a visit to Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas where I met so many amazing students and faculty members.

In October, we’ll have the chance to return to our alma mater, Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri (www.evangel.edu) where Tracy and I met 21 years ago. I’ve been invited to speak in chapel and look forward to reconnecting with many of the teachers who so profoundly impacted our lives.

WOW! August was a whirlwind, complete with a visit from Dutch friends living in Paris! Here you see me on the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. In one fourteen day period this summer we actually connected with 17 churches in 14 days, while driving 5439 miles (over 9000 kilometers)!

September keeps us mainly in the midwestern states, with a quick trip to Texas. We are encouraged to realize we will move to France in just 9 months!

August takes me to a different state nearly every three days! We enjoyed traveling as a family this summer and seeing so many friends and so much of our homeland. It’s hard to believe, but we’re leaving in just ten months for France! Indiana Couple Plans Paris Transition

Married for a little more than a year, Nathan and Katie Belt of Kokomo, Indiana have announced their plans to join The Bridge in the fall of 2009. The Belt’s are a part of Carmel Assembly of God in Carmel, Indiana where Nathan leads youth ministry and Katie leads worship.

For some time, Nathan and Katie have felt drawn to work in the starting of churches outside the United States. Beyond that passion, the Belt’s bring significant musical skills and a passion for working with young people; they also will work in outreach and leading short-term teams visiting The Bridge from Europe and America. Nathan grew up in a variety of places, including Alaska, as his father served in the US Air Force; Katie’s father was a pastor.
