Dutch Couple Plans to Step on to The Bridge

Jeroen and Maaike Kemperman come from Hilversum International Christian Center (HICC), the church planted by The Bradford family, along with a team of 10 others in 2006 in Hilversum, a town near Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They will move to Paris in May 2008 due to a promotion and transfer with Jeroen’s job.

Jeroen will start work as a business analyst for an international trading company.  At HICC, Jeroen served the church’s Board of Finance and Policy and served in many other ways, initiating groups for young adults and game enthusiasts.

In Paris, Maaike will finish her master’s thesis and then go through intensive French lessons. At HICC, Maaike was part of the worship team and also involved in several young adults initiatives.

Jeroen and Maaike have been married for 3 years.

Jeroen says, “After our experience with HICC in the Netherlands, we expect awesome things from The Bridge!”

For The Bridge and us, Jeroen and Maaike mark the first Europeans who will be a future part of this new international church and ministry center being planted in Paris’ western and southwestern suburbs.  For some time, we have prayed that Europeans would move to Paris to be a part of The Bridge from the start, raising the credibility of this initiative from the start among Europeans.  It appears our prayers are being answered!
